Would you like to make a few extra bucks every month participating in offline research? I have found hundreds of market research companies that are looking for people to participate as a member of a offline focus group or opinion survey. Focus groups are informal discussions consisting of a small group of people brought together to test a new product, evaluate an existing concept, or to share opinions on a variety of issues. Topics include views on computer software and hardware, ideas for new video games, taste testing and naming food products, travel, health care, advertising, telecommunications, just to name a few. Opinion surveys are like telephone opinion polls except they usually take place in a controled environment like a conference or meeting room. You are simply required to sample a product or service and fill out a short survey. You can make from $20.00 to $50.00 for participating in an opinion survey. Focus groups usually take longer and pay from $40.00 to $100.00. But, besides the payment, they are also fun. Plus, you get to meet new people and voice your opinions. Marketing companies all over the country are always looking for new participants to take part in their groups. One month I participated in two opinion surveys. The first one was for a local radio station. I was in a room with about 15 other people. We all had on headphones that were hooked up to a big reel to reel tape player. We also had a little device with a knob that went from 1 to 10. Everytime a song came on we had to rate the song by turning the knob to a number from 1 to 10. It took about 2 hours and I was paid $50.00. The second one was a pizza tasting. This one was bigger, probably about 25 people. They would bring everybody a slice of pizza and we would rate the slice from 1 to 5. They did this twice more with different pizza's. I got paid $35.00 for that one and it only took about 30 minutes. Plus I got to eat free pizza! Getting started is easy. Just click the link below to the Marketing Research Association website and search for market research facilities in your area. Here is that link: http://www.bluebook.org/search.cfm Call or email the companies you find and ask if they are accepting survey participants. If they are accepting participants they will give you instructions on how to get an application and were to send it. Also, look in your local yellow pages under the heading of Market Research or Market Analysis.
